Forty-three years of systems that had to work

Jeff has spent forty-three years on systems that have to work in production, and the last several on AI: designing them, shipping them, and being the one who answers for them afterward. He is the inventor on the two pending patents behind TruthLock, held by Iron Rod Systems.

Every era of his work has been about making systems answer for themselves. Kernel extensions in C in the 1980s, on teams that built the first PC-based bank teller terminal and, with Motorola, the first computer-aided dispatch system for police and sheriff departments, which stayed the national standard for decades. A company-wide ERP at Nu Skin in the 1990s. Ten years at Oracle on database, CRM and business intelligence. Ten years at Salesforce as a Principal Solution Engineer and Peak Performer, expert in Field Service and Service Cloud.

Then three years as Director and Senior Director of AI at Uptima, a Salesforce partner, where he created Elevate GenAI, the Computer Vision Document Ingestion utility, and Elle, the patent-pending visual intelligence that reads schematics and wiring diagrams inside Agentforce. Digital Journal named Elle among the AI tools fueling startup growth in 2025.
